Joel loves looking for new flavors in cocktails. He has been travelling, studying, researching products, customs and practicing a lot each day. He became a bartender because he saw in the bar a perfect space of privacy and complicity with people. He is specialized as a Sommelier and beverage manager in the most prestigious organizations in Peru. His curiosity and passion to get more knowledge led him to consolidate the training in different countries as United States of America, England, Mexico, Brazil, Argentina and Panama, going through different cultures, admiring their idiosyncrasy and exchanging knowledge, that is the reason why all these things motivated him to explore different trends and perspectives in the world of cocktails. He is also a local winner and global finalist of the “World Class Competition” in 2014 and 2016, currently head of the Salar bar at “The Westin Lima Hotel & Convention Center”. Finally his essence as a bartender is going trought the pharse “Think Glocal”; that means thinking globally but acting locally.
